I'm shopping around the 1st overall pick that I have. I'm planning on taking Yakupov 1st overall but might have a deal that's worth taking. What are your thoughts? My keepers are Crosby, Malkin, Parise, Hall, Duchene, Luongo, Schneider and Ward. Here's the offer so far...

I Give: 1st overall (Yakupov) and a late 3rd round.

I Get: Toews and 3rd overall

I know Yakupov has a chance to be a great player but my team is ready to win now. Plus since I'd be getting back the 3rd overall I'd still be able to draft another solid player like St.Louis. I think it's worth doing. Thoughts please....

Id take that deal, Toews is already proven generally id take that over anyone including a 1st overall pick. Besides 3rd will get you either Grigorenko or Forsberg, whoever is to your liking. I took Grig with my 3rd overall pick

You do have a good looking core to your team. Toews is as solid an NHLer as you can get plus the 3rd overall is still bloody good. In win now mode the combo of Toews and St Louis can push you to the top much sooner than Yakupov will.

Looks like a good deal to me - when you only keep 8 and you are competitive, getting 2 producers like Toews and St. Louis is money for a run. I assume you don't need to drop a player to take Toews.
