So dusty goes on record yesterday saying that once votto returns Frazier goes back to a bench duty. Are you kidding me??? The option would be to sub out Rolen, but Dusty won't do it, always has been a veteran coach. Saying fraziers time will come. Am I the only one who thinks tis is absurbed? Your team is battling for a p/o spot and you reward your hottest hitter with a demotion? Great coaching Baker

Some baseball coaches bug me with their ancient philosophies. Anytime I think of this I think of reading books like Moneyball and Scorecasting where the older folks in the business are just too stubborn to give up on their tried and true formulas even when there are new ones out there disproving them.

Dusty is an idiot. He cost the Giants a World Series when he pulled Russ Ortiz, who was on fire and they were about to win it all that game. They lost the rest of the games and ultimately the World Series.

Then the same happens to him with the Cubs. He's a cursed manager and one who's keeps making terrible calls in big situations.

Dusty is one of the worst coaches in recent memory just because of the way he benches his players. Stubbs goes on a hot streak? Better bench him. He proceeds to strike out a billion times in a row.

There is no reason to be benching Frazier right now with the way he's playing. I 100% agree that Rolen is the guy to sit. I get it - Rolen's a vet, etc etc blah blah blah. He's also old, fragile as all hell and about 1/10 as good as Frazier right now. Play Frazier - wins games. Simple stuff there Dusty.

At least he's consistent I guess.
