MJD needs to suck it up and stop acting like a baby.

Supposedly, MJD told his teammates that he would report after their next game. When reporters asked Khan he replied, "jump on the train because it's leaving". Unnecessary comment to be made after a proud athlete was prepared to tuck his tail between his legs. Khan should have shut up rather than puff his chest out and do a TD dance. MJD is the one that isn't acting like a baby in this situation.

Seems like an ass. I may be biased, though, as a family member of mine is a pro athlete and I was privy to some things behind the scenes that we, the pubkic, don't generally get wind of. The players are at a huge disadvantage, even with what they make.

Oh no doubt, they're at a huge disadvantage........ It's the way it should be, IMO.

If I say to my boss Im holding out, I'm fired. How do Pro Athletes have a reason not to?

You signed it, play it.

It's a shame, he's such a good RB. Top 5 in the league I'd say.

Now, did Khan throw something out he shouldn't have? yeah, probably.

I used to think it was the bkack and white, but it is not. The signing bonus is the guaranteed money. Everything else is fluff and can be resgructured. In an environment where teams have the ability to not honor a contract, players feel they have the right to do the same. Signing means little anymore, which is why contracts are terminated before their time from both sides.

NFL contracts are a joke. Not even sure why they are called "contracts" because they clearly don't fit the definition.

That being said, MJD holding out does not help his situation at all. I also don't understand how anyone could say he is handling it with class. He is not.

The NFL is a business and Khan is being a businessman. MJD is one of his assets. I respect Khan for how he's dealt with it all.
If MJD doesn't want to fill the role that was agreed upon, then he shouldn't be there. Just because he got a front-loaded contract and improved his production as it went along, doesn't mean he deserves a new deal for the last two years. He knows that he's good and would put up stats like that. If he thinks he's not getting paid enough then he should not have signed the contract, plain and simple.

Default bah

A veteran missing training camp is nothing... it's not like he forgot how to run. If anything he'll be healthier with a few less bruises during week 1.

I'm looking to steal MJD in the 2nd round right now in drafts - thrilled with that!
