Dobber Sports Prodigy
Default Pick 2 Zetterberg, Vanek, Semin

We get to keep 3 wingers, Kovalchuk is my first but I'm having some difficulty deciding on the other 2.

Zetterberg: Off year last year but was on fire in the second half. He has centre eligibility which gives a little roster flexibility as well

Vanek: Was on fire to start the season and then quieted down. Has decent power play stats

Semin: Coming off a disappointing year but now has a fresh start with the Canes and the potential to be paired with a Staal and see lots of power play time.

Thoughts?

Zetts and Semin for me. Think Semin and Vanek will share similar point totals this year, but Semin's situation in Carolina is too juicy to pass up on IMO. Zetts should outpoint all of them this season, so you need to take him.

Zetterberg and Vanek for me.

Zetterberg to me is the hands down #1 option of the three. Proven, more consistent, and primed for bounce-back season.
Vanek compared to Semin...you're maybe sacrificing a little bit of upside with Vanek, but you're getting more reliability IMO. Vanek is good in his own right, I think at most you're sacrificing maybe 10 points but you don't have to worry about the KHL risk after this season.

Zetterberg & Vanek, IMO.

However, I'll be shocked to see any fantasy league open and give Zetterberg wing-eligibility. Z took 1115 face-offs last year, 45th in the NHL. He was a center & center-only last year.
I'd say fantasy hockey web sites open as:
*Zetterberg (C)

Zetts and Vanek for me.

I still think Semin has poison running through his veins so i want nothing to do with him. I dont trust him. Like a lot of Russian players, has all the talent in the world but is simply lazy and cant be trusted to produce in a consistent manner.

My thoughts exactly. I'd still be reluctant to take Semin in a keeper, especially if it means losing Vanek.
