Starting my first NFL keeper this year. How the heck do I draft for one of these??

It's only a 10 team league with generic stats....and normally I go with RBs in round 1 but with such turnover at that position over the years is it better to go with a QB or WR for your first pick?

I really have no idea where to even begin. There is so much turnover at every position ....

There are a lot of sites like: www.nfl.com that have an overall list as well as a list by position. When drafting, I go by position as opposed to the overall list. Target elite players on elite offenses first and then elite players in general. When looking at positions, see which is the most thin: QB, RB, WR = the deepest, so you can wait. I did just that and got AJ Green in round 3.

I tend to pick QB or RB as my first two. It just depends where I am at and who falls.

I STRONGLY recommend doing a couple yahoo mock drafts first. It will help you gauge players to target, some of which may slip your mind in your actual draft had you not first done a mock or two.

From what I've read about fantasy football, drafting a young RB is the way to go in keepers.

That said, if Aaron Rodgers falls to you - it seems he is a must-take.
(even in a 10-team pool)

In a 10 team keeper pool I'd just draft off of this year's rankings - 10 teams is pretty small and waivers will be full of good players. Ignore age, take the best possible players you can and win this year while others avoid anyone over the age of 25-27. How many players do you keep year-to-year?

We are keeping 10 of 18.
