I'd say Giroux, Hartnell, Byfuglien, Pominville, Vanek, Kovy, Eberle, and Moulson to name a few.
With the Flyer's offensive depth, I just can't see G and Hartnell keeping up their torrid scoring pace over another season. I think Byfuglien gets over taken by Bogo soon. Pominville and Vanek will have Hodgson as their center, short-term downgrade from Roy. The devils will likely play the super-defensive system they used to now that they lost half their offense in Parise. I think Eberle either starts off slow or gets injured, and Yakupov slides into the first line. And finally I've never been a fan of Moulson, and there is no chance in hell he will score 30 again with Okposo on the wing, 3 shooters on the same line means less points.

In 2007-08, they lost in seven games to Philly. In 08-09, they won in seven against the Rangers (a series they were down 3-1 before coming back to win), and lost in seven to Pittsburgh Then in 09-10, they lost to Montreal in seven. Boudreau's style wasn't working come playoff time. Three years, only one series victory, and losses to three different teams. They had to try something different. Halak and the Habs were the most recent victors, and that's why they get the credit, but the Caps weren't getting it done with their offence in the playoffs. If the Caps had gone to the finals the two previous years, then they wouldn't have had to change their style after the Habs loss. But clearly, it wasn't working, and they had to switch it up.

So in the two worst season's of Ovechkin's career, it happens to coincide with successive season's of Ovechkin not having a top line center to play with (whether through him missing time or just missing his game). Seems like a mighty big coincidence to me. And he still led his team in goals scored and points in both seasons. What's really interesting to me? Ovechkin went from 16 assists in 38 games (0.42 Assist per game) when Backstrom was healthy, and only 11 in the 40 games after his injury (0.275 assists per game). He also saw his highest assist total in the year Backstrom had his highest goals total. Sort of goes to support that Backstrom is a big part of Ovies game

Differing opinions is what makes this forum awesome, even if we all don't agree with them. I've said this before and I'll say it again: If everyone gets their view tailored to be uniform we might as well shut this place down.

Agreed re: Kessel/Lupul. Well, moreso I just don't think Kessel will have an entire season like the first 3/4 of last year. We'll see stretches of that, but not consistently.

In an attempt to get this thread back on track, instead of all the "BS"...
I think you can put Whitney and Elias as two players that should regress from last years impressive numbers. Whitney on the Stars second line will have a tough time putting up the numbers he did on the Coyotes first line/PP.

Yeah, I believe in what I call slotting. Ryan Ma explained it in his Projections section of the guide. Pittsburgh was already #1 in the league by a noticeable margin in scoring and Neal goes from #2 to #3 with Crosby back to full health. Either Pittsburgh reaches an even higher level of scoring and Neal maintains his 80-pt self or theres a slight backfall and he drops a bit to the low 70's.
