Would you think Jaime Garcia will be an upgrade over McDonald down the stretch? McDonald has been terrible (outside of yesterday vs stl). I did not get to watch this game live, did anyone see how he looked?

If not Garcia what about:

cobb? westbrook? medlen?

Thoughts appreciated, auction is tomorrow at noon.

McDonald got the benefit of a really wide strike zone, I don't think it yet means that "he's back". I'm really not sure about Garcia longer term, especially seeing how inconsistent he's been in the past. My feeling is that Westbrook and Cobb might be good ideas, but I don't trust Medlen beyond maybe another start or so.

I'm not sold on McDonald going on a roll just yet, he's not back to must start status whatsoever.

If Medlen stays in the rotation, I would take him over Garcia due to the lower ERA he will give you.

I rank them like this.

Medlen (Garcia first if Medlen gets put in the bullpen)
Garcia
Westbrook (VERY underrated)
McDonald
Cobb

i think it depends where your team is it. if you are in a good position for the playoffs then i might hold ontoMac and see if he can bounce back. But if youre on the edge Id go with Medlen

Medlen for sure will stick, he's been amazing. Look for sheets or minor to be demoted there. Garcia will get you wins and his schedule the last 3 weeks is money. I'd take either

Mildly surprised nobody is taking a second look at Westbrook.
