Predict points for this year and who you would rather have in a keeperpool

If you're a contender this year then Id take Briere because I think he is guaranteed 60 pts. If your team is trying to build for the future then go with Ennis, who should crack 50 but also has a lot of young competition and needs a big bounce back.

Give me Ennis this year and going forward. The #1 C job is his to lose with a ceiling of about 70-75 points, IMO. Briere probably will be around 60 for the rest of his career, which is on the downside...plus he is 2nd fiddle to Giroux.

This. Normally I like the more proven player but in this case it really depends on the team situation. Their careers are heading in opposite directions, so you can either ride Briere's final productive seasons or get on the Ennis bus as it gradually climbs to productive seasons moving forward.

Briere 55-60 pts
Ennis 50-55 pts

But like others have said, Ennis is on the upswing while Briere's carreer is winding down.

It also depends on weather or not you count PIMs in your league, cause DB is a sneaky PIM machine!
