Default Keep Briere or Dubinsky

Having trouble deciding between keeping Briere or Dubinsky in a league with the following Cats: G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SHG,GWG,SOG,HIT,BLK

Position doesn't really matter much to me as the league has lots of slots and is deep as hell.
What do you all think?

my other keepers are:
Kovy
Perry
E. Staal
Eberle
D.Brown
Elias
Letang
Yandle
Koivu
Ott

I think I'd keep Dubinsky. Briere isn't a very good regular season performer any more and Dubinsky gives you good PIM and HIT. You could even expect some SHG from him as well.

yeah I'm leaning toward Dubi because of hits and PIM's plus the possibility of expanded role with CLB, But part of me thinks Briere is just the more consistent option and I'll be kicking myself if he has a bounce back season points wise.

Seriously????

Are we talking about the same players that I'm thinking about?

Dubinsky is the guy who is playing for the worst team in the league (BJ's). He will be centering the top line and the top line wingers he will be playing with are........................................???

Briere is the guy who will be playing on agruably the best team in the eastern conference, and centering a line with either Schenn, Cotourier, Simmons, Talbot, or Voracek. He is also the same guy who has put up 95 in a season.

To me, this isn't that hard of a decision...... If you can't tell

PS. Carter was a much better player for Philly, and when he went to CBJ to play with Nash he was supposed to light it up. How'd that go?

Now Dubinsky, who isn't even close to Carter, is going to CBJ to do the same thing and now he has to do it without Nash on his wing.

Good luck Dubi...

with DBrown in your lineup, you can likely afford to keep Briere over Dubi. the extra points you get outta Briere will be worth it, as brown should keep you in the runninng in Hits.

I'm not sure I like that logic. You could say the same about Kovalchuk and goals. Is HITs an inherently inferior stat to produce big numbers in?

yeah, but the difference as i see it is that Dubi was in the doghouse last year in NYR, barely got any PP time and was mostly out of the top six Forwards.

I know that CLB is a crappy club but how much worse will dubi's linemates really be than last year?
Dobber has Dubi pegged for first line PP duty and 49pts this year......if you at the hits and PIMs he projects as a decent multi-cat guy.
But....part of me still has trouble taking Dubi over Briere..... not sure why

do you guys really think Briere hits 60+ pts this year?

I'd probably keep Briere if I were you. Not sure what to make out of CBJ forwards before Nash trade, and now...well, lets just say unless I'm wanting some solid PIM, aka Derek Dorsett...not touching a CBJ forward.

I would keep Briere for three reasons:

1. More offensive track record
2. Hits are more easily found on FA
3. Dubinsky would be more easily redraftable
