He's hitting .345, so this means he's not a .350 hitter.

You're right. He's not a .350 hitter. With his progression next year (he's young and still improving), he will hit .460.

Crazy, you say? Nope, it's simple mathematics. Last year he hit .220 and this year he's hitting .340, which is a .120 improvement. Add that to .340 and you get .460.
