My gut reaction is to say Stastny.
After thinking about it, Stastny. Health will be a concern, but the best player with the highest upside. Easy choice for me. |

Statsny for me. He'll provide more and even with injury concerns it's not really even close for me.

Agreed with a few of the others... Stastny is the "safer" choice, he's a bit more durable and is making a decent amount that he should be a top line if not 2nd line C somewhere...
Depending on how the season goes I could see him moved if Duchene really develops this season. There's been numerous rumors about TO and Burke wanting to go after him to solve the number 1 C problems and I could see that happening at the deadline... Realistically speaking, with the depth that the Avs have you're probably looking at 60-65 for him, which is a decent total... With that said if you really want a "boom or bust" candidate Andy Mc is your man... since he's joined the Blues, he averages 0.81 points per game (66 points over a full 82-game season), the downside is that he has averaged just 58 games played per season... If you're willing to roll the dice on his health he could have a much higher upside than Stastny.

I know a lot of people are really high on Tyler Ennis and are expecting a big breakout campaign from him next season. Still Stastny would be my choice, as he's just 2 years removed from 79 points. I'm not expecting those numbers again, but he should hit 60. If he's moved at some point, as mentioned earlier, he may get a better 1C role, which would obviously benefit him.

Not Macdonald.. I'm torn between Ennis and Stastny and since everyone is going Stastny I will go against the grain and at least make an arguement for Ennis.
Ennis should be the #1 guy in Buffalo this year Ennis was a monster down the stretch last year for Buffalo The addition of Ott on the 2nd line will give Ennis more offensive zone starts (Ott will play a lot of defensive zone starts I feel thus freeing Ennis up) Stastny is 1 of 3 good centers on Colorado and depending how Colorado dishes out wingers/ice time/offensive zone time, Stastny is a bit of a wild card IMO. That being said Stastny has proven himself before and is probably more consistent but points only next year I see Ennis as having the higher upside. I would take Ennis because the risk is worth it for a boarderline keeper.
