HM to Wheeler, M Koivu, Backes and Pommy but im intrigued to what a healthy season will do for a mighty mouse like Ennis. He may top out at 50-60 this year but i like his potential in a couple years to reach 70+. Wheeler, Koivu, Pommy are reliable now, to be 60-70pts..so if want the safe route..go w/ these guys.

Joe Thornton - consistent for a points only pool, especially if there's no distinguishing between goals and assists.
David Backes - good for 60+ points, #1 center
Mikko Koivu - with Parise and Heatley on the wings ... look out for 70+ point season.
[NOT SEMIN - just think he will disappear with first line checking this season. Nowhere for him to hide on Carolina's depth chart. I would expect 60 points but I would still go with Backes as the #5 forward keeper since he's a known quality.)

Defence:
Mike Green - hit 70 points before
Alex Pietrangelo - no question
Erik Karlsson - Norris winner, unreal offensive skill

Goalies:
Ryan Miller - don't let one tough season fool you.

Points only. No cap.

Nicklas Backstrom - 100 point season under his belt. Entering early prime.
Mikko Koivu - lots of excitement around Minny at the moment. Great trade material if you don't prefer. Nicely in his prime.
Zach Parise - 85 point threat (I still worry he'll have an adjustment year though). Nicely in his prime.
Joe Thornton - yeah, old, but still good for 70+

Choose between:
Jason Pominville - value is high at the moment. Nicely in his prime.
Alex Semin - a true talent. I'd probably keep him over Pommy, however, we all know about the potential frustration. Risk/reward.

Defence:
Mike Green - I still want the guy, problems or not. In his early prime.
Alex Pietrangelo - 51 points last year, entering early prime years
Erik Karlsson - broke 70 and a Norris. Still a kid that won't fully enter his prime for a few years yet.
Goalie:
Ryan Miller - 65 start tender. World Class.

I don't see any of the drops as having potential to become 'Elite'. Nothing wrong with a guy like Ennis, but his career year may be similar to a Pominville, who has done it repeatedly. Fleischmann showed his upper window. Wheeler, can't hope for more right now. Alffy, old and didn't do Elite last year. Backes, what you see is what you get. Okposo needs to show more. Little has potential to be good, but it's too big a risk to take. Franson needs to show more. EJ is the most interesting piece not finding a claim, but again it's more than potential that we're looking for. Bieksa is a great warrior and fine producer, but not at the expense of the others on the list. Pavelic is also an excellent talent, but doesn't have nearly the Fantasy value of Miller. He needs to show more.

i like ennis, but i think you roll the dice with koivu because you have parise. they dould explde together but if not koivu won't do worse than ennis. i'd look to deal ennis to a rebuilding team.
