Don't know a lot about Reinhart, but the Canucks really like Connauton and expect him to challenge for a spot this year. Booming point shot.

Calgary's defense is thinner so Reinhart may be a contributor sooner.

Trying to do what I can to improve the team in my signature over the summer. My main goal is to improve my wingers. My goalies are solid, my centers are quite good and my Dmen are the best and deepest in the league. My wingers need work. I need depth on the RW in case of injuries and I feel that I want more star power on the left side. I'm sending out a bunch of feelers and I'm having a bunch of discussion back and forth. My Spezza seems to be a wanted man. Right now I have two offers for him.

Spezza for Nash and one of Read or Johansson

OR

Spezza and one of my D for Parise and Turris or Stastny (the caliber of D decides what center I get back, I want Stastny)

Which one should I do? If I do the second one, which of the D would you offer to make it a fair deal if I get Stastny? HPG thinks Letang, Phaneuf, Seabrook, Suter and Garrison are all in the top 23 last year with my league settings...
I'm not sold on Johansson right now. He seems to be stuck a bit. Great skater, though.

I think it may be smart to "sell high" on Spezza. He is injury prone and last year is only one year. That being said, Parise is a bit of a ? too. He didn't look as dominant this year after the ACL injury. Didn't have that top end jump.

Nash in NYR is damn interesting, but be careful not to overpay for potential.

I think i'd move Spezza for Read and Nash.

Isn't Max Reinhart a center?

It will be the 3rd year that I protect Ryan. He's my 3rd forward.
#3 forwards from the other teams in my league look like Backstrom, Parise, Spezza, Benn, Hossa, Zetterberg, Heatley, Kessel, Eberle and so on.
I don't think Ryan is par with those guys.
I plan to package Ryan and Yandle to try to upgrade my #3 F. Perry, Spezza, EStaal are among the players I target knowing the needs of their owner.
If I do, that would leave me with 5 keepers. Need to find a 6th.
After the 6 in bold in my signature, can you rank 3 or 4 next keepers?
Do you think I should stand pat with Rayn and wait for a burst out? When if ever? What do you expect for Ryan next year and beyond? Is he really a keeper in a 11-12 teams 6 keeper-league? Since two years, I thought yes. Now, I'm not so sure...
Thank you!
Ryan will be on par with those guys if he isn't already.

I LOVE the idea of packaging to upgrade keepers. It is my favorite thing to do (well I can't really do it any more since my competitors know my plans...).

I would keep Ryan. He's getting traded. He has the talent and moxie (don't think I've used moxie before) to be a star 40g guy.

Also, I recently acquired Joe Colborne - do you think he plays in the NHL this year and what type of impact (or how long until he makes one)?

Tx again!
I think that is a fair deal.

A lot. Shattenkirk is a solid point producer... but this is the Sedins. Money in the bank for 80-90 points.

Colborne - another year. He's the prototypical big forward. Great for stretches, but inconsistent and hasn't put it together yet.

I traded Backstrom (WSH), Tangradi, 1st round pick next year (2 round prospect only draft)

For

Bernier, J. Staal, and Connauton

My roster currently:

F - Parise, Neal, E. Staal, J. Staal, Carter, Ott, Hornqvist, Hudler, Okposo, Dupuias
D - Karlsson, OEL, E. Johnson, Whitney, Franson, Gragnani
G - Schneider, Neuvirth
Farm - Bernier, Connauton, Colberg, Merrill, Watson, Galiev, Namestnikov, Khokhlachev, Morin, Scrivens
I don't like it, for a few reasons:

1) Bernier is still in LA
2) You moved the best player in the deal

However... it could work out for you. Why?

1) Backstrom may play more of a two-way role to protect Ribeiro. Andd.... Staal may break out with less defensive responsibilities.

Bryz, Price, Rask, Rinne, Ward or Schneider for next year (assuming Luongo leaves Vancouver)?

Thanks for doing this!

I have 3 aging stars and only 1 spot on my keeper roster. Who would you hold on to, and who would you let go between Thornton, Zetterberg and St. Louis. Points only partial keeper league.

Thanks in advance!

Had Griffin on my mind I suppose.

That being said, Calgary is thin up the middle too.

Hi Angus,

I have Shea Weber in several cap dynasty leagues. Ouch!

The categories are Goals, Assists, Points, Penalty Minutes, Plus/Minus, and Game Winning Goals.

The philly offer has definitely hurt his value in a salary cap league, but how much?

Which young d-men (preferably) or more proven players would be fair payment for Shea Weber in a salary cap dynasty league?

For what it's worth, I wouldn't be adverse to waiting a few years for a player to develop.

Thank you.
