Calgary's defense is thinner so Reinhart may be a contributor sooner.

I think it may be smart to "sell high" on Spezza. He is injury prone and last year is only one year. That being said, Parise is a bit of a ? too. He didn't look as dominant this year after the ACL injury. Didn't have that top end jump. Nash in NYR is damn interesting, but be careful not to overpay for potential. I think i'd move Spezza for Read and Nash.

Isn't Max Reinhart a center?

I LOVE the idea of packaging to upgrade keepers. It is my favorite thing to do (well I can't really do it any more since my competitors know my plans...). I would keep Ryan. He's getting traded. He has the talent and moxie (don't think I've used moxie before) to be a star 40g guy.

A lot. Shattenkirk is a solid point producer... but this is the Sedins. Money in the bank for 80-90 points. Colborne - another year. He's the prototypical big forward. Great for stretches, but inconsistent and hasn't put it together yet.

1) Bernier is still in LA 2) You moved the best player in the deal However... it could work out for you. Why? 1) Backstrom may play more of a two-way role to protect Ribeiro. Andd.... Staal may break out with less defensive responsibilities.

Bryz, Price, Rask, Rinne, Ward or Schneider for next year (assuming Luongo leaves Vancouver)?

Thanks for doing this!
I have 3 aging stars and only 1 spot on my keeper roster. Who would you hold on to, and who would you let go between Thornton, Zetterberg and St. Louis. Points only partial keeper league. Thanks in advance! JB - Vancouver |

Had Griffin on my mind I suppose.
That being said, Calgary is thin up the middle too.

Hi Angus,
I have Shea Weber in several cap dynasty leagues. Ouch! The categories are Goals, Assists, Points, Penalty Minutes, Plus/Minus, and Game Winning Goals. The philly offer has definitely hurt his value in a salary cap league, but how much? Which young d-men (preferably) or more proven players would be fair payment for Shea Weber in a salary cap dynasty league? For what it's worth, I wouldn't be adverse to waiting a few years for a player to develop. Thank you. |
