Think you got starstruck by Sedin. Not a bad deal, but I would rather have what you gave up than what you got

Getting Sedin is a safer way for you to win again next year however, but this seems to me like a short term approach that you do not need to take at this point.
Well, the thing you have to consider is that he may have won last year without Sedin, but it is a limited keeper where he's only keeping 7 players so a lot of the teams will be re-tooled. In my eyes in a limited keeper like this you have to set yourself up with the best guys you can get your hands on, especially given the build of his current keepers

IMO, I could counter that with I think people get youth-struck if that makes sense. Sedin is still a very effective producer right now (and again when you're competing, durability and reliability is pretty valuable IMO).

Anyways, that's just my opinion.

I don't really understand the trade Prime Time because you said in your OP that Getzlaf was one of your sure keepers but in this trade you listed you said you received Getzlaf lol.

What you guys think of the RNH deal?
You're in win now mode and you just got the most reliable point producer in the league, plus bought low on Getz. You win. You're going for it, so that's your priority. No need to look beyond a couple of years with building your fantasty squad and you made a nice trade to compete again in the immediate future. If you're going to be trade away a young asset like RNH, you're obviously not going to get a young superstar(ie: giroux) in a deal like that, so you made a good decision for an older steady elite talent.
If anything, I think people are getting starstruck on the younger guys, but you've gone proven, and I like that. nice job.
