Is Voracek an upgrade over any of my players in my sig? I like the fact that he's now slated to play with Giroux this season, so I'm hoping to get him cheap.

And yes, my defence needs help as well. The guy who has Voracek has the following dmen: Kaberle, Kulikov, Suter, Shattenkirk, Enstrom, Liles, Pronger, Bieksa and Bouwmeester, and has to drop four of them in the next couple of weeks.

Would something like Zetterberg (or ryan) for voracek and Kulikov be fair?

I do plan on dropping Markov if the deal goes through. But because of expansion, we have something called allocation of rights this season. I choose one player out of all the ones I drop to put these rights on. If the expansion teams choose that person, I get an extra sixth round pick. If they don't choose that player, I get to keep him.

So my hope is the deal goes through, I put the allocation of rights on Markov, neither expansion teams chooses him (a real possibility depending on their strategy), and I get Markov back anyways.

Update and follow-up question: The other guy traded Voracek to another team, and has since countered my offer with Zetterberg for Hodgson and Kulikov. I turned that one down (not a big fan of Hodgson).

These are his other solid forwards: Pavelski, Richards, Stastny, Gagner, Havlat, Kesler, Brown, Strome, Burrows.

Is there a deal that makes sense for my Zetterberg and his Kulikov? Or should I just forget about it now that Voracek is gone?
