Pirates call up Starling Marte
@dejan_kovacevic: CONFIRMED through #Pirates source who just talked to Marte: He WILL meet team in Houston. He’s in the majors.
Marte is the most polished prospect in the Pirates system.

So far AAA - 286/.348/.500 batting line with 12 home runs, 20 doubles and 13 triples, 21 steals in 98 games this season at AAA. Impressive.
Will he stay for the year, or do you see Pit still making an addition for the stretch? Assuming he does stick, who does he replace? Presley, Jones? And does he play everyday? Where does he hit in the line up and what can we expect for the final 60+ games? Trying to gauge how high he will go on the ww.

How high will he go on the ww? In a 1 year league, not high, in a keeper league, really high. He's got potential to be a consistent .280+ hitter who posts 20/20 type numbers. What will they do with him right now? I think he could play in the Outfield, possibly with Garrett at 1B and on the bench vs lefties.
I also don't know if the Pirates are at all sold on Alex Presley. I could see him being traded for an upgrade in the Outfield, possibly.
