Cam Atkinson, Ryan Johansen, Matt Calvert, Tim Erixon, David Savard, Allen York, among others assigned to the AHL this afternoon.
http://newsok.com/blue-jackets-send-...dline_nhl-news Nothing unexpected here. Interested to see how this will affect Atkinson and Johansen specifically this fall.

First I'd like to say sorry for the lack of posting here. It's been a rough couple months for me and I just haven't felt like I've had the time to sit down and write something up. But an exception has to be made for (really) some of the biggest news in franchise history.
http://bluejackets.nhl.com/club/news...id=DL|CBJ|home The Jackets officially hired John Davidson today as their President of hockey operations after months of rumors. It's the underrated moves like this that can truly turn a franchise around. Davidson became the St. Louis Blues' President in 2006, shortly after they had bottomed out and selected Erik Johnson 1st overall. In the next 6 years he would turn them into a President's Trophy contender. He has an amazing resume in regards to young player's development which bodes well for a team like Columbus. Are the days of the CBJ being a "prospect graveyard" over? An example of this is 2008 when the Chicago Blackhawks hired Scotty Bowman as their senior advisor for hockey ops. Within two years, building off the young core they had acquired, the Blackhawks were Cup champions. I don't know if Columbus is two years away from a Cup, but this is definitely a move to get them on the right path. Johansen, Anisimov, Brassard, Atkinson, along with the impressive defensive group the Jackets have put together....this is a team ready to make some noise in the NHL.

So looking at the game summary against Nashville, Dubinsky got a total of 4 seconds PP time. I thought/hoped he would be used more on the PP given the lack of scoring power in Columbus. Yeah, I know it's just one game but it's still telling that the couch would not put him on the top PP to start the year. I was looking for something like 30 points and 60 PIM from Dubinsky this year. Am I crazy?
