This would allow me to have Byfuglien, Edler, Streit, Boyle, Del zotto as keepers. Dropping of corse Gaborik, Hossa, Selanne and one more??

Streit/Boyle/Edler is a clear 3-for-3 upgrade on Whitney/Timonen/Bogosian. Especially points-only.

Even without Gabby and Hossa, your forwards are ready to win now, so who cares that Streit and Boyle may only have 2-3 good seasons left. A deal like this could bring you two or three titles by then.

This deal makes sense for you, IMO.

I was hoping to keep Huberdeau. The guys that should be available in the draft are guys like Bieksa, Leddy, Voynov, Orlov, timmonen, bogosian, Del Zotto, Ellis, Schultz and others. I agree though. With maybe one or two exceptions, all 30-40 point dmen.

I was going to keep as many forwards as i could and Buff. Then draft my defense young.. I was going to target Faulk, Gardiner, Schultz, Elliot, Ellis, and possibly Del Zotto or Voynov.. Whoever wasn't taken..

Forwards available would be guys like Hartnell, wheeler, hudler, selanne, jagr, granlund, all probably 50-60 point guys.

Depending on your league settings (how many D on your active roster?), I would do this deal.
Who knows how Hossa will be this season after his concussion?
Gaborik will miss the start of the season, good for you to capitalize on his last season.
I would keep:
F:Crosby, Backstrom, Zetterberg, Kovalchuk, M.Koivu, Benn, Huberdeau
D: Byfuglien, Edler, Streit, Boyle
G: Howard, Rinne
That's 13. Add Semin if he signs in NHL. Or Elias. Or even Hartnell.
I think that it's easier to draft F prospects than D prospects. You never know how many years they will take before becoming fantasy relevant (if they ever do).
You'll be able to target nice F while others will battle to draft crappy 30 points Dmen.
