Default Parise & Skinner for RNH & Fowler

Hey Fellas,

Been offered this trade. I would love to get RNH on my team because of his potential. Am I giving up too much for RNH? I can probably get a similar d-man as Fowler like OEL in the draft. Any thoughts?

RNH will be awesome. Parise IS awesome. Skinner will bounce back. Fowler plays on Anaheim and if you havent heard Bobby Ryan will be traded, Getzlaf and Perry are UFA's next season. so there is a chance that in 2 years time Fowler will be passing the puck to... actually not sure because they just lost Selanne as well, Koivu is gettin older and Parros plays with the panthers! ;-)

I'm inclined to agree with lorenzin.

RNH should become an outstanding player, but Skinner also has a chance to be pretty special..and Parise already is (albeit coming off one of his not better campaigns).

I like Fowler a lot, but there's so many different signals coming from Anaheim that I'm not sure where you put his future at. He should be an outstanding offensive defenseman at some point, but that may take a heckuva long time if the Ducks lose Ryan or Getzlaf and when they lose Selanne.

I'd lean towards not making the deal..but if you really like RNH and if you really need a dman, I wouldn't yell at you for making the deal. But that's partly because I think part of the fun of having keeper teams is taking risks on certain guys - in this case, on RNH.

Put me down for this as well.

You'd basically be giving up a whole lot of proven for potential. I know RNH and Fowler look like the real deal but Parise and Skinner ARE the real deal.

Parise and Skinner all the way for me.
Parise upgraded his C to Koivu so he has the potential to get back to his 90 point ways and Carolina continues to get deeper and the addition of Jordan will give them a more potent PP imo.

RNH is the 2011 Skinner. Last offseason, Skinner's ceiling was unlimited and seemingly everyone thought that Skinner would be a 40+ goal scorer this year but that didn't happen. RNH played better than many people thought and might not progress as much as some think he will.
Regardless, if Skinner rights the ship i think he will be on pace with RNH (give or take 5-10 points) for a few years which means would you trade Parise for Fowler?

As it was mentioned, ANA could look A LOT differently if Ryan gets traded and Getzlaf/Perry decide to take advantage of their UFA status, plus Selanne retires.

Reject the offer.

To be fair to SKinner, those were very high expectations, way too high for a guy who was only 19 until May. Plus Carolina was pretty bad last year. Adding Staal will likely give Skinner some room to play on the ice and not have to worry too much about his size. But even if Skinner has a down year, I'd pick the Parise side.

Parise will be the top line winger in Minny. He won't have to compete with Kovy and he'll have a consistent center to work with (very likely). He's the best player in the deal and the type of proven player you go after. He's a lock for 30 goals every year and 65 plus points. His upside is 80 points easily.

RNH is exciting but he's still very young. It's possible, even probable he has a Skinner like down 2nd year. He might one day be better than Parise but he isn't yet. Plus Skinner played at a 25 goal, 55 point pace (he missed 18 games) las year, hardly the worst sophomore season ever.

At a low you're getting 100 points from Parise/Skinner. Do you really think Fowler/RNH can beat that next season at their best? Maybe, but it's highly unlikely. The upside doesn't make sense for this trade to be made, at least right now. Especially with the likely possibility that Anaheim's offense won't be getting better with the likely trade of Ryan.

Keep Parise/Skinner like Guinness Moustache said.

What I was thinking. The Parise side is much stronger IMO, BUT if you LOVE RNH, then perhaps you should be asking for MORE here. I think Fowler's production will only go up and I'm not too worried about ANA's situation.
Who else does the other GM have on his roster??

I'd incline to give up Skin/Parise for RNH, fowler + ______ be it a low pick or another stud fwd.

Let us know.
