What do you think? Could he be a 30W goalie next year?

absolutely... but don't expect much mre than 30.
I think if TB gets off to a good start... Lindy developes a little confidence, he could be this year's Smith... not quite the numbers because PHO plays such a sound defensive game and TB does NOT... I think you could see something like: 61 GMs 33 Ws 4 SOs We will also have to see how the Lightning will roll out their 23 blueliners...

Agree on the 30 wins - the Bolts instantly become a much better team with Lindback in net. They should contend with the Caps for the division title - I imagine they will be a playoff team this year.

Few points to consider:
- Tampa Bay as a team are better than last season (unless I'm missing something). Added a couple of quality blue-liners which improves their defense group and added some depth with Pouliot..pretty much all of the other forwards have remained the same..and I bet Lindback provides more stable goaltending than Roloson does (wouldn't be too hard) BUT - Don't know if Lindback can handle the workload to play 60 games. He has never played more than 42 games in a season in any league so there is a risk that fatigue starts hitting him later in the season. Really hard to say how he'll do this season because I can't really recall off the top of my head the last time a player was in this kind of situation. |

Lindback has a lot less experience and exposure than Smith did going into last season.
What do you figure to be the reason for a reduced load?

Approx 45-50 starts, maybe 28 or so wins. The D is much improved, but won't be one of the league's best. Stevie Y understands Lindback is still raw and won't rush him.

That means Garon plays 30 games? I see Lindback being closer to 60 starts.
