There's no hurry, but would you consider opening up the league soon? At least you can invite last year's managers for now as I know you want to consider them first. Also, for those who are not using Dobber as often will get the invite in their email so they may join earlier. That way you'll get a better idea of who's in and who's out, and then can recruit others.

Furthermore, even though there are plenty of resources outside of Yahoo, it does help having last year's numbers handy in one place, the ability to play around with rankings etc.

Just a thought.

I think an ESPN league would be cool but I am open to Yahoo. The 25th works best for me but I should be able to make it work.

Boys - I have renewed the "DobberHockey" league from last year.
I've invited everybody back (except for one who didn't set his roster for most of the season).

That's 11/14 spots.
I'd prefer 14 because it makes for a very fair 13-week schedule where everybody plays each other once.

I have PMs from three other DobberHockey people that would like to join and they'll be getting the first invites.

2) I'm thinking it would be fun to have one DEEP LEAGUE.
20 teams, two divisions of 10, with a week 17 SuperBowl. [20 teams is the Yahoo! limit... meh]
This could be the DobberFootball ELITE league.
This would be open to all of you + Dyv + Dobber & I'd probably like to see Dyv or whoever else is running the DobberFootball show set this one up.

3) Labour Day Draft League.
A 12 or 14-team league schedule for a draft on Monday, September 3rd. Maybe 3pm.

4) Night-Before Draft League.
A 12 or 14-team league schedule for a draft on Tuesday, September 4th. 9pm (Eastern)

I just did the "renew league", changed the teams to 14, and changed the draft time and reinvited managers... not sure what went wrong... hmmm.
