I could be wrong, but I bet we could get a series of leagues put together pretty handily - with a football-focused website and forum I'd be surprised if we couldn't fill multiple leagues. Anyone want to be in charge? I'll find a cool prize for the league winner(s)?

How are you going so far with filling it up?

It's very informal right now.
I was commish last year and will probably put together another group (or two) this year using Yahoo! to host the league.

To throw some preferred suggestions out there:

Date1: Sunday, August 25th. ~3pm. (This allows our overseas friends to join.)
Date2: Sunday, September 2nd. ~3pm. (This is labour day weekend, though.)
Date3: Tuesday, September 4th. ~9pm. (For the late-night crowd who is unavailable on the long weekend)

First NFL Game: WED, Sept 5th. Dallas vs. NY Giants

Preferred League Size: 14-teams. (13 week regular season, play everybody once)
I'd like to split it into two playoff-tiers with playoffs in Week 14/15/16.
Championship Tier: Top 6 Teams. (Top two teams get a deserved BYE)
Consolation Tier: Bottom 8 Teams. (Everybody makes playoffs, hooray!)

Now that there is DobberFootball forum... I wouldn't be surprised to see interest from 28-people(teams).
The group from last year has first dibs on a spot.
Anybody else posting here will get an entry spot (in order of first-come, first-serve).

It may also be nice for somebody else to start a league on ESPN or CBS or something... though I don't play in those leagues. (Come September, I'm running about 4 baseball teams, 1-2 football teams, and preparing for 3-4 hockey leagues... all on Yahoo! for ease of management).

Ouch.. If I am involved, the only date that works, is the Tuesday(And would be able to work around horrorfan's sched).. Both Sunday's I will be out of town and away from the computer..
