Will he be up with the Devils full time next year? I'm thinking of picking him up off waivers but I'll have to keep him on my pro roster.

He definitely has a chance. The Devils have Volchenkov, Zidlicky, Tallinder, Greene and Larsson signed for next year. Fayne is an RFA, so we can expect him to be their 6th. Salvador and Harrold are both UFAs. As far as prospects go, I think that Jon Merrill is more highly touted than Urbom, but I don't think Merrill is ready. I think if they go the prospect route, Urbom is their most likely candidate.

One thing to mention though, is that the Devils do have quite a bit of cap space to play with. With the possibility of losing Parise, that clears up even more space. There are a few spicy defensive free agents on the market, so Jersey MAY go that route.
