Now that you guys mention it I do remember hearing about the concussion problems I just didn't remember at the time I posted. Also by saying he's older I mean that he is probably more mature and more NHL ready but I'd that's probably pretty close. To me the selling point is Center vs Winger. If I were an NHL GM I would much rather take a center 1st overall than a winger unless my team already had two star centers or if the winger is much better than the center. I think Yakupov is going to be really good but I also think that Granlund is going to be really good. I think Yakupov will be better but he is still a winger.

You can't base your decision on position at 1st overall. If you were then I guess you think EDM should take Murray?

There's a reason EDM took Hall over Seguin. At the time they felt Hall was the BPA despite being a winger when they needed a center. How many first overalls get chosen by positional need, especially in a draft like this where Yakupov is by far the consenus #1?

Yakupov is BPA in the draft, even if Granlund was in the draft. And honestly, if it weren't for Mikael's NHL-readiness I'd probably take Galchenyuk ahead of him too.
