I'd peg Subban for 45-50pts/year going forward.

He's got the offensive creativity to hit 60pts IF the Habs can get some better skill on their PP (which I don't see happening anytime soon).

In multi-cat, he should be selected around the 8th-15th defensemen.

I think he is in for a good year possibly 40-50 points. If Markov can stay healthy and feed him one timers he might break 50 points. It will also help if Montreal can get a few more forwards that can put the puck in the net. I dont get how everyone is down on this kid. I myself like to see the younger players with a bit of flare and tons of confidence. I think the NHL could use more of it. PK is a workout beast and definitely wants to be a star, so i can only see good things in the future for him.

Unfortunately, Montreal isn't loaded with these. He would benefit by having a strong wife.

So, on the assumption that he matures and has a long, strong career. We'll slowly see his colourful exploit diminish. His points would stabilize. His consistency increase. His PM drop into the 50-80 range. His hits drop to the 100 range. Simply put, he'll not pop his top and pick his moments far more consistently. He'll not strive to be everything to everyone all the time. This player will exceed 50 points regularly. Big, strong, fast, skilled and calculated. He'd also make $5.0 to $7.0M a year.

The flip side is more bad decisions, possibly visits to the press box, unnecessary fights with everyone, colourful blow outs, multiple teams, the potential of significant off ice stress, millions of $$$ in lost wages and us bozo's in Fantasy talking about what might have been.

I believe it's the man inside that will determine whether he's a Hall-of-Famer, or a journeyman. With his incredible skill set, he'll get many chances. It's more common that a player continue on his current path, than make the adjustments...

Oh, and I do have him on one of my two Fantasy teams! I'll likely trade him though.
I mostly agree with this. In particular, I expect hims PIMs to drop significantly as he gets better control of his game. Many of those PIMs are due to "bad" penalties as opposed to physical play/fighting.

A lot of people are talking about Subbans major hiderance as his maturity, sometimes this works to his benefit though as well, he takes some unnessesary chances but look at the changes in his play from year 1 to 2, he is being forced to grow up in Montreal a big mistake was getting rid of Gill he could have really fast tracked Subbans career. I love the kid hes on my roster forsure.

And just for a quick comparison, take a look at Evander Kane, Im from Winnipeg originally and all I hear from friends back home is the guy is a huge tool outside of the rink, acts like hes king shit, but it doesnt necessarily translate to him being an idiot on ice. Being in Winnipeg the fan base in very knowledgable and he wont get respect unless he earns it...same with Subban you can only act like a boy for so long these hockey markets are intense and if they hope to survive and play there they will be forced to grow up a lot faster then say in Florida, LA etc...thats why Richards and Carter are now in LA and they are late 20's

Subban has a lot of Chelios in him - swagger, recklessness, dirtiness, great skills and dedication. A young Chris Chelios in today's game would be facing multiple, lengthy suspensions. I think Subban ends up a steady dose of 45-60 with realistic potential to hit 65 in the perfect seasons.
