Hello Gentlemen,
In a keeper league i have pick 1 an 4 in this year rookie draft. Kane was my first pick all along but since Esposito in now in Pittsburg, things have changes allot. I was hoping that the canadiens would draft Esposito but unfortunately we have 2 Selke trophy winners Carboneau and Gainey which I respect but c\'mon a bit off offence n eways, All this to say. I really like the way Esposito plays, he as allot of potential and eventually I see him playing a key role in Pittsburg, what I like about him is the the vision he as, it is true that sometime he will go a full game without being a factor but when he plays he create allot of offence and if he plays with you know who then Esposito will be #1 in my book. As for Kane, is size is a bit of a turn off but considering Toews, Havlat even if he plays only 50 games a years and a offense minded coach like Denis savard he could be raking up points in a very close future. I havent had the chance to see him that much beside the the WJC. Who would you pick first and if I cant pick up both( unless the other GM from our keeper as other player in mind ) who would you suggest me to pic. As we speech im going for Esposito, i think its a calculated risk he could be the next big player, considering that the Habs did not draft him, he will do everything in is power to make Montreal suffer for not drafting him. Thanks Della Madonna |

Absolutely go for Esposito. He\'s going to be surrounded with talent and have a lot of the pressure taken off of him that he would have had on almost any other team. Kane is certainly going to be a decent player but honestly Esposito is going to have something to prove in Pittsburgh and he\'ll have the guys around him to help him prove it.

I would take Espo as well. I could score 50 goals playing with Malkin, Crosby, Roberts, Recchi and Staal...

Without a Crosby-Malkin-Ovechkin-Johnson type, this seems like the perfect draft to take a few chances and swing for the fences.
I took Esposito first overall in my 16-team keeper, and am considering taking Mayorov with the first pick of the second (17th) ... |

I understand that evryone is all of the sudden drooling over esposito because Pittsburgh drafted him. In the last 1 1/2 years Esposito went from being projected #1 to be drafted 20th. Thats a huge decrease. Will he beable to prove everyone who didn\'t take him worng or will he turn out to be the next Michel Ouelette or Ryan Malone in Pittsburgh and not get many points. I would take Patrick Kane all the way. I drafted Kane 3rd overall in our pool and I would do it again. He plays on Chicago and they are shaping up to be a pretty damn good looking team as well. Esposito may be worth taking a risk on but Kane is definitly the better gamble as far as I am concerned!!!!

I compare Esposito to Jari Kurry.
Both of them didn\'t want the pressure of been number 1. Both of them will produce with quality players. Both of them have amazing skills. Both of them will follow their leaders in points. That\'s why I think Espo and he will produce in the NHL. |
