Don't see why so many people are still high on this guy. Ive always believed he has been the product of the Inet hockey site overhype.
Yes hes been tried with Iggy and had shown brief glimpses. But the more the more i watch him play the more invisible he is to me.

Mind you he has had injury problems and thus has only had one full season. Put the rest together and hes played 2. So really 2 full seasons.

I never understood why anyone was so high on this guy. A lot of people were anointing him as the Flames number one center after a 25 point season and for some reason he's still in the conversation. Stajan has been better the last two seasons. He's still young and has good hockey sense so there is still a chance he puts it all together. But anyone expecting more than 65 points a season is dreaming. In my opinion he'll end up as a solid 45-55 point player that can contribute on both ends of the ice, and be played in any situation. I never for a second considered him a potential top line center.

He's showed a few flashes of potential. I think right now the fact Calgary needs offensive centermen is the biggest reason for optimism. If he was buried in a deeper system I would bail but depending on your league setup and whether or not you can afford a gamble next year I don't think it's time to completely write him off.
