Default Team Makeover REP!!

Now that I can actually give rep in the baseball threads I figured Id ask for some much needed help here. I hated my team out of the draft and it's been worse than I could have thought. Sitting in last place with three straight losses and a tie. This week Im actually tied with the 1st place team...but it's only Thursday. So.....take a deep breath.....

I actually don't have any players to sell high on and there is no point in dealing the underachieving Uggla, A-Gon and McCutchen this early. At least I don't think there is.

Would you drop any of my guys for those listed below? I'll order it based on position but I have a good degree of flexibility so if you think I should drop someone for a different position then post away.

3B: Moustakas. I keep wanting to drop this guy but seems to be doing alright and has potential. Wire: Trumbo, Alvarez, Headley

I also own Aviles as a 3B option. What are the thoughts on him? Will the early success last?

SS: Rollins. He's not really giving me much here. Is he still undroppable?
Wire: Furcal, Lowrie, Seager, Desmond

Again....Aviles is an option at SS.

LF: Parra. Drafted Boesch at this position but figured Parra would give me almost as much but with a boost of SB.
Wire: Kubel, Lahair, Ross, Boesch

RF: Choo. BIG disappointment for me but still potential and pedigre.
Wire: Kubel, Lahair, Ross, Trumbo, Boesch, K. Morales, Hunter

Also available at other positions are K.Johnson and Altuve.

SP: See in sig. Lincecum's start killed me.
Wire: Hammel is pretty much it.

RP: Recovered from injuries to Wilson and Farnsworth early. Just dropped Santiago for Myers.
Wire: Rodriguez, Aceves, CWS crew minus Thornton, Casilla

Kelly Johnson is available? He seems to be powered up lately, I'd surely grab him and bench Uggla while he's cold. Kubel's also a solid option too, keep in mind that it's far easier to hit bombs in Arizona's park than it was with the Twinkies. I'd be looking to let Choo walk if he fails to turn it around in the next few days. Trumbo is a great option too, because he could play 3B or OF for you.

It seems there are also good options at RP, Casilla and Aceves are considerable. Keep an eye on League, one more blown save may do him in.

Here's what I would do, add someone (Trumbo) or move Aviles to 3B. Ride it out with Rollins, consider using Trumbo in the OF for now and go from there.

Also...do I pick up Soriano for someone? Robertson is gone in this league but should I drop someone for Soriano just in case?

1. I have B.Myers (SP) and Aceves (SP/RP) in as many leagues as I can just because I can put them in SP slots when I don't have starters going for all spots. It's maximizing games played.

2. I'd probably drop Capuano to make room... he should be available to add/drop on good match-ups in a 12-team league.

3. I'd keep Moustakas at 3B, but I'd definitely look to moving Aviles to SS. Aviles showed signs of glimmer last year and he has really stepped it up in his new big role. I think he is the real deal in that spot. I think it might be worth cutting Rollins. His numbers have been trending down for a while and I think the power is gone. He's still good for token SB... but that's about it, IMO. Aside from "name value", Rollins is just an old SS. People jumped off the Miguel Tejada train a long time ago... I think it's time to get off the Rollins train too.

4. I like Parra & Choo. I think those are the best guys in those spots for you.

I don't think Parra is a great long term solution but obv use him while he's hot. As for Choo, wait 3-5 days and then make a decision.

As for Rollins, ask why he's sucking. Philly's whole offense has been up and down, mostly down, without Utley and Howard. However both of those big boppers could be back within 4 weeks. I would not cut him yet unless you have to.
