Default Possible Daniel or Henrik Sedin trade

Team 1 in my sig. Dynasty League
So here's the deal.. i have Daniel and another manager has Henrik and he suggested to pair the twins on one team, either both on my team or both on his..

Players that he'd be interested from my team are: Datsyuk and Kovalchuk

Players that i like from his team: P. Kane, Toews, Nash, Parise

should try and trade for Henrik with one of my players, or try and trade Daniel for his players? or just stick with what i have right now?

I guess in another way, what I'm asking is how would you rank these players:
D. Sedin, H. Sedin, Datsyuk, Kovalchuk, P. Kane, Toews, Parise, Nash

thanks in advance for any help

I'd try and trade for Toews but he probably won't want to split up Kane/Toews so I'd target Parise+

For a dynasty:

D. Sedin/H. Sedin
Toews
Kovalchuk
Parise
Datsyuk
P. Kane
Nash

IMO

So would you also think that if i get Henrik for Datsyuk + that would be an improvement considering your rankings?

This is a great opportunity, but right now it cuts both ways as it isn't clear who will get the united Sedins, which I think is the best end game. If I were you, as he is the one who "suggested" this, I think you need him to make you an offer as that will give you the best sense of his intentions. Ideally, you should get him to make an offer for both what he would want for Hank, AND what he would give for Dank.

But frankly, as mentioned, I think owning both Sedins would be great if you have intentions to win in the next few years. And I think they're the most valuable of any of the guys listed.

I dunno, I think with Daniel, you have the best asset of all the players mentioned given your stats categories. He is a winger, so you would definitely want a winger plus coming back, if you move him. The only deal I can see worth making where you lose Sedin is to get something like Kane and Parise back for Sedin and Ryan or Lucic maybe.

Not sure I find Hank Sedin particularly attractive in that league. I would be hard pressed to give up much more than Datsyuk straightup for Sedin - perhaps Dats and one of your prospects.

I think His Dudeness has the right approach - tell the guy to send you an offer and see whether you are close in values.

Gotta look at positions and scoring cats to really get a handle on this one:

G A PPP +/- PIM GWG
C/W

It's always better to have good wingers and be trading them for centres than the other way around. You have Daniel, who is undoubtably a top-5 winger. Do not trade Daniel unless the return is insane. What would "insane" be? I'd consider Parise + Kane/Toews/Nash to be pretty insane.

So the question is, who would you rather have: Henrik, Datsyuk, or Kovalchuk?

GWG - all three of them look to be about even at somewhere in the 5+ range.
G - 25-30 for Datsyuk, 15-25 for Hank, 30-40 for Kovalchuk. Edge: Kovalchuk.
A - 45-65 for Datsyuk, 65-85 for Hank, 35-45 for Kovalchuk. Edge: Hank.
PPP - 25-30 for Datsyuk, 25-35 for Hank, 30-40 for Kovalchuk. Edge: Kovalchuk.
+/- - Datsyuk and Hank are solid, Kovy is the pits. Edge: Dats or Hank.
PIM - Dats is perma-byng, Hank is around 50, Kovy a little less. Edge: Hank.

I wouldn't trade Kovalchuk for Hank straight across. I would trade Datsyuk for Hank. If he'll go for it, then great. If not, don't push too hard.

I suspect he's looking at this and thinking "the unite the Sedins tactic is my best shot at getting Daniel on my roster". Daniel is the most valuable player in this equation.

Hope this helps.

HPG

HPG's post is perfect.

I'd rank the players as:
D.Sedin (Goal-scorers always much more value in multi-cat... usually because of either GWG or SOG)
Parise
Kovalchuk
...
Toews
P.Kane
...
H.Sedin
Datsyuk
Nash

So here's the latest in the trade talks

He doesn't want to split up his Toews and P. Kane combo
So his players that are in action are Henrik, Parise, Kessel, Nash

Options if I trade away Daniel:
1. Get Parise + a prospect (which I don't like)
2. Give Daniel and Ryan for Parise and one of Kessel or Nash (don't know about this one either)

Option if I trade for Henrik:
Give Datsyuk and Blum for Henrik

What do you guys think?

Dats and Blum for Henrik!

The trades where he gets Daniel are bad trades for you.
