Default Wright for a SP

Looking to add more SP - pre-draft in a limited 7 keeper 12 team pool

Current Keepers:

2B Cano
3B Longoria
1B Texieria
OF J Upton
SP Z Grienke
3B Wright
C B McCann

I have 2 3B as keepers and the one to trade is Wright for me.

I have been offered M. Bumgaurner, SF (Spelling?) 1-1 for wright.

He also has Kennedy and Halladay (he wont deal Halladay for Wright)

Pull the trigger?

I'd do the deal. In my opinion, Madison Bumgarner is one of the most underrated pitchers in the game today. He has a 3.10 ERA in 325 major league innings, is just 22 years of age and has no discerable weaknesses. He's a solid (albeit not spectacular) source of strikeouts, doesn't walk a ton of guys and has shown a tendency to limit home runs. He's a sound, stable, consistent performer.

I agree with Mike that Bumgarner is a stud, but I'd look for more before settling for this deal. Who else is on the market in your league?

Not enough for me, Wright is a 3B stud and is worth more the Bumgarner IMO

insist on halladay and see what else you can add to the deal to make it work. otherwise, walk away. another owner will give you a better pitcher for wright. shop him around. which team has a surplus of a-level starters? you want a top ten starter. bummer and kennedy are both top twenty, but aren't quite enough to make this deal balanced.

Seems as though you need more in that deal. Bumgarner would be dreamy to own here but the offer weighs too heavy in his favor.

I believe Wright is in for a career year this year, and his value is at an all-time low. If you're determined to deal him, wait and see if he gots off to a hot start. If he doesn't, you should still be able to get a deal as good as this one.

SP is very deep. You really don't need a pre-draft trade where you give up Wright and get less than full value back. Your keepers are fine as is being hitter heavy. Big Bum fan but not 1-1 for Wright
