I just heard on the radio in MTL that Damon is heading to Atlanta.
I see in the ramblings that people may be aware of this...but just throwing this in there. I like Atlanta's team going into this year.

Two sources told Jayson Stark of ESPN.com that the Tigers have made the biggest offer to free agent outfielder Johnny Damon, with "speculation around the industry" that it could be a one-year, $7 million offer.
According to the report, there were even indications the two sides were still discussing a possible two-year deal. The Rays remain in the bidding, although Stark would find it a surprise if he signs with any team other than the Tigers or Braves, since both hold Spring Training close to Damon's home in Orlando. Damon is expected to make a decision by the end of the week. Yes, it's possible that our long Hot Stove nightmare is almost over. Feb. 11 - 3:03 pm et |

Detroit is the only *real* suitor for Damon at this point. A few others like Atlanta, Tampa Bay and the ChiSox are trying to swoop in and get a bargain. But Damon will be a Tiger within the next week, possibly as soon as this weekend.
