As posted by J Status, from SI.com
Meanwhile, the Jays were getting nowhere with the Mets, whose interest in Halladay may be tempered by the fact that they aren't exactly in the thick of the race. Sources indicate that the Mets rebuffed a request of top outfield prospect Fernando Martinez, young pitchers Jon Niese and Bobby Parnell plus talented young shortstop prospect Ruben Tejada. |

all this gum-flapping is unreal. the Jays should not and will not trade Roy this season unless they get a MONSTROUS deal in return. if they are just getting a return that they can get next July then keep Roy around and look at moving him next July. i'm not surprised that they ask for the sun, the moon and several stars for Roy and if they don't get that back then just imagine the shitbox that happens if they move him for less.
i just don't think he's going anywhere this season. neither is JP, by the way.
