The offers are brewing. I\'ve recently discovered after winning 2of3 years in this pool that closers are very expendible and NOT worth keeping vs a good producing player at another position. What I was doing was riding 1 closer (the best) paplebon alone of 9 pitchers dressed. Problem is, i really wasn\'t winning the closer save category much at all...but dominating the INN\'s, K\'s wins category. There are only 4-5 closers kept in a 16 team keeper league so lots to draft on draft day. SO NOW for my trade options.

Now my new interest has come from Adrian Gonzalez. There are no 1st baseman left to draft really. (blalock,laroche,garko,tracy etc)

I\'m not sure what you\'re asking exactly. Gonzo for Papelbon is a fair deal - you get a 30/100 guy in return seems like a no brainer to me!

yeah, thats pretty much what I\'m asking...a ranking and for you to tell me its a no brainer I should do it...that little shove. I can\'t help but look at it like the best young closer in the game for the 9th ranked 1st baseman for the 19th ranked outfielder in kemp. (this doesn\'t seem right then).
The 3 outfielders are from one guy and the agonz is from another who owns mig cab so wouldn\'t mind moving agonz. At the moment I\'m waiting on the Kemp and lee for harang and paps 6th pick before I offer the paps for agonz.

I\'m confident SOMETHING will get done today. I\'m considering now doing a paps,harang for either ellsbury or mclouth and lee. THEN swapping that OF for agonz. so it would then be agonz and lee for harang and paps. now that I\'m guessing would be sweet.

Kemp - Still getting better - I dont thik we\'ve seen really what he can do!

AGon - He\'s topped out. He\'s putting up great numbers in SD - only a trade to somewhere l5 ike Texas will improve his numbers.

Ellsbury - Up and coming, just not at Kemps\' level of 5 tool production

McLouth - I dont think he will improve on last years stats. If he just maintains them - that\'s good production. I dont thave a lot of confidence in him repeating last year with so little protection.

Thanks porter...I think with needs and everything considered Agonz moves slightly ahead of kemp being that he\'s turning 27yrs old breakout. AND SMASHING the ball so far this year. The reason I prefer the kemp deal RIGHT now to the agonz is the upgrade of Harang to Lee. We shall see, I\'m pretty damn sure the guy won\'t move kemp...but he\'d likely move ellsbury or mclouth. The other guy I THINK would move agonz for either paps or mclouth/ellsbury. Thats where I\'m at now. ALL I know is I want to rid of paplebon cause of so many relievers available to draft. and so little 1st baseman.

I just can\'t see Lee duplicating last years numbers again!

Khanadian. My team is in sig. I don\'t have a 1st baseman now...and there is not much out there come draft time. (laroche,tracy,blalock,Garko,Shealy,butler,konerko ) My OF are grady and manny. we dress 3 and 1 U guy.

I\'d say I don\'t have a strong need...if anything the only position i\'m missing is 1st base. There are a ton of closers available to draft so that is why I\'ve had enough of Paplebon keepage.

Porter, it looks like you\'ll get your wish...for now at least, he\'s offered ellsbury,lee for paps,harang and 6thround pick(meaningless). The whole part of me swapping ellsbury for Agonz isn\'t all that necessary. 50SB\'S and he didn\'t stay at top of order the whole year. I\'m guessing this year he will and he beefed up a little this offseason, reminding me of Grady. Would you trade Lee instead for Agonz? or hold onto top pitching cy young and try ellsbury?
