Does anyone have a clue if Smoltz is going to be a starter for the sox? Man they have a lot of starters to fit into 5 spots. Atlanta too...MLB has glavine out of the top 5. Thats a good article someone can write...prediction of the top 5 starters for every team...or better yet, starters at every position period. Perhaps the guide has this. MLB doesn\'t even list Pedro martinez.

The guide does have positional and rotation projections for every team which are updated periodically.

Now obviously, a situation like Boston\'s won\'t really be certain until the last week or two of spring. Right now, Smoltz seems like a good swingman to me for a team this loaded on both ends but we will see.

I would look for 10-15 starts TOPS from Smoltz othrewise, long relief - depends on injuries , etc. Also Masterson has to fit in somewhere as well..

I agree with CUBNATION... a lot depends on injuries and that Masterson should get first shot at being the spot starter... I don;t think i remember a team being this deep in their rotation and in their bullpen
