I am getting close to putting in my keeper list for our auction league, and I have a decision to make about Maybin. If I keep him he is at $23(our league is $1000 cap, 18 off and 12 pit). If I throw him back will I get him for cheaper? Even if I get him for about the same, I think it would be worth it cause we can sign guys for 3 years after their draft year. Would anyone pay more than that for him in an auction? My other OF with this years contracts - Holliday 110, Bruce 23, Pence 16 and J Upton 20. In other words, is Maybin worth the same as Bruce? I don\'t think so but prove me wrong...Thanks

well, you may not like my answer because it\'d involve tracking keeps across the league, projected dollar values, inflation rates and all sorts of crap that i can\'t really get into in a quick answer post. it\'s a good thing it is not necessary here though, there\'s no way that Cam Maybin is worth the same as Jay Bruce. no ... way. when i saw the other keep numbers i thought that you should definitely get Maybin back for cheaper in the action. that\'d be what i do.

He\'s not worth the same as Upton either. I expect Maybin to struggle for one and possibly two years before becoming a useful. Find someone in your league that gets a little too excited about prospects and see if you can deal him.

Pretty cool little tool there isn\'t it. Yeah, seeing the way he has streaked at the major league level a couple times already in his short stay, I\'d expect significantly better than that.
