Good write up Rich
How much playing time do you think Tatis will take away from Murphy. My guess is if Murphy starts out hot, he will have LF on a semi full time basis by June. If not, I could see both of them sharing the position for the entire year. Right now, if I had to guess at bats for 2009? Murphy 425 Tatis 360 |

I think you are in the right ballpark with the at-bats. If Murphy keeps hitting, he will be in the lineup full-time, save for the occasional day off and against tougher lefties. Tatis will be in the 280-300 AB range unless Murphy struggles, Delgado struggles, or if (when?) Castillo gets hurt. If Castillo goes down, the Mets could put Murphy at second (he played there in the Arizona Fall League and did pretty well) and Tatis would take Murphy\'s spot in the outfield. Thanks for the feedback and your question.
