I just made a deal which sent Wagner away, and I now need a closer.
The free agents I think is amazing for closers right now... The points are: IP (.5), W (10), L (-3), CG (10), SHO (5), SV (14), ER (-1), BB (-1), K (4), HLD (10) Strikeouts are quite significant as you can see. Right now the FA RP\'s are: -Lyon (ARI) -Rauch (ARI) -Rodney (DET) -Isringhausen(STL) -Franklin(STL) -Bell(SD) -Morrow (SEA) -Kobayashi (CLE) -Jones (DET) -Gonzalez (ATL) Thanks for your input! Wooo DobberBaseball is ALIVE!! im littleranger btw

If you\'re looking for saves specifically, it has to be Lyon...with Izzy a distant 2nd.

I\'d also go with Lyon, but I would also make a case for Rauch as a very close 2nd choice.
Here are my reasons: 1. Lyon has been hanging onto the closer job for the year, but he\'s been shakey more than a few times. So Rauch might get the job if Lyon blows up. 2. The difference in pts between a hold and a save is only 4. So Rauch may be more valuable point-wise: Rauch gets more K\'s than Lyon - Rauch = 8.2K/9 vs Lyon 6.9K/9 Lyon\'s ER and BB are higher by 1 each than Rauch\'s, but Rauch has 10 more IP. Lyon - 1.25 WHIP 3.67ERA, Rauch -0.97 WHIP 2.79ERA Rauch also might get more \'vulture\' wins (10pts) than Lyon.

hmmm... Lyon doesn\'t get enough K\'s for that system. Each save is 4 more points than a hold but those K\'s add up. My guess would be that Morrow or Gonzo is your best bet. Gonzo will get a ton of K\'s and saves or holds even if Soriano steals it and Morrow is huge for K\'s and holds as well.
Gonzo is currently the choice for me with the high k\'s and being the closer right now. He is huge when healthy with a great ERA usually as well. 4 points per K is huge.
