I'm probably never drafting a Russian prospect again. The only Russians on my keeper team right now are Bryzgalov and Varlamov. I used to have Filatov and Tarasenko too but I capitalized on Tarasenko a year ago when I dealt him in a deal to get Nicklas Backstrom and Shane Doan. Filatov can suck my dick, but I don't think he'd put in the effort to really get into the dirty areas, so...

Anyhow, it's just not worth it. Russian prospects have one use in my book and that's as trade value when the hype is high. Kuznetzov in January as someone mentioned or Tarasenko last summer. I don't care how high their upside is.

Not saying that he won't, but I've just had way too much drama with the few Russians I've owned. Last summer it was looking like Varlamov was heading to the KHL before he was surprised by a trade to Colorado. Add Filatov before that and it's not like Tarasenko has been without a bunch of back and forth stuff either. It's just not worth the headache.
