We'll he's suspended indefinitely until the hearing on Friday. When they throw out "indefinitely" I've noticed that usually means more than 5 minimum. My bet is 15. If not, I'm going to Spam Shanny's twitter for awhile, but he'll just block me ha ha.

Completely embarrassing playoffs so far. I have no desire to watch any of these games. Tipping point was the boxing bell literally going off in game 3 of the Pittsburgh/Philly series after a 5 minute stoppage in play because of all the crap going on. And then Laviolette says "that's what playoff hockey is all about, right?"

The fact that they're pretending to be cracking down on it only makes it worse... might as well let it all go at this point, if that's how they want the game to be played. Why bother with an indefinite suspension on Raffi Torres if Weber, Neal, Carkner, etc are given at worst a slap on the wrist? Just allow all the fighting, all the headshots, eye-for-an-eye assaults, and hell maybe shorten the game to 30 minutes of actual hockey while we're at it. No sense wasting all that time skating around and shooting pucks when we could be watching a bunch of goons attacking each other.

Personally, I prefer ordering the UFC show this weekend where the fighters are trained to fight and don't look awkward like hockey players do in jersey-tugging battles.

I'll take it if it means seeing the ring girls walk around every round.

I haven't heard a damn thing, which is worrying considering that the guy had his bell rung and was stretchered off the ice!

Anybody have an update of any kind?

From the article

Bowman on Tuesday also gave updates on the health of several players, including Marian Hossa, who suffered a severe concussion during Game 3 against the Coyotes when Raffi Torres checked him illegally.

"Marian continues to improve," Bowman said. "Same thing with Steve Montador (concussion). They're both starting their summer training programs. It's not something anyone can guarantee how people will progress but I'm very optimistic in the way they're both feeling. I suppose that can change but most likely it's going to be full steam ahead."

This is from June 20th. So far no other updates have been given.

From slovak newspaper SME on 16/7:
Hossa working out in the gym and feeling fine. Travels to Chicago on Wednesday - if the tests don't show anything unexpected, he's going to prepare for the season at maximum level.

CHICAGO -- Marian Hossa continues to show progress in his recovery from a concussion that knocked him out of the Chicago Blackhawks' loss to the Phoenix Coyotes in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Meeting with reporters in person for the first time since a hit by Coyotes forward Raffi Torres in Game 3 of the series, Hossa said he's been working out hard off the ice for about a month and showing no symptoms.

Compliments of NHL.com...
