I guess it might be still a gamble to wait for that possibility in 3-5 years. Do I have to patience to let them sit on my roster? Will injuries force me to trade them for serviceable players?......hmmmmmmm........lots to think about.thx again guys for those who have contributed so far. rep coming your way! |

If this is my team and I'm picking 2 of those guys to keep its easily Baertschi and one of Perron or Schwartz. I'd go Perron but it's a coin flip.

While I don't agree with this, the fact that others do believe it is the reason I'd keep Bartschi and try to trade him. All the non-rookies seem like guys you could grab off the wire if they somehow exceed their 50-60 point natural ranges.

Rookies do have extra value in our pool. we must have 82 rookie games played by season end. I currently have Huberdeau and Yakupov to fill in those 82 rookie games. After all the input......... I'm leaning on keeping Baertschi and possibly making room for Schwartz. I was able to pick up Schwartz and Baertschi super late in the season in free agency. This the 1st year of this pool and the buzz seems to only be around rookies who have an impact RIGHT AWAY. I was also able to grab Huberdeau off free agency after he was dropped for not playing in the NHL this year. We have no farm system and guys can't keep too many N/A rookies on their bench. I even doubt that the other poolies have taken much notice of Baertschi and Schwartz yet. Their trade value would probably develop over the 1st 20-30 games of the season. I think Perron and Little will easily outperform both of these players next year and possibly the season after that. I should be able to re-draft a good chunk of the more veteran players. I see Perron going the highest in the re-draft. Since this is a Yahoo pool, I also have to see how player eligibilty plays out. So far I'm treating all of my players as if they'll only be in their natural position next year. thx for the continued help guys! |
