I'm trying to figure out who should be my keepers for next year and have a tough time... Right now, those who seem like locks:
Backstrom / Staal / Zetterberg / Skinner / Kane / Nash / Rinne / Shattenkirk Which leaves 4 spots opened for Wheeler / Desharnais / Pavelski / Fleischmann / Kipper / Carlson / Elliott You keep 12 any positions, 11 teams league, points only. I will finish fourth in my league this season, but I don't have one of the top talents on my roster, and their owners won't trade them... so do I put more emphasis on reliable production from forwards, do I keep Kipper (70 starts), or do I keep the faith in the young defensemen? I have my own little idea, but I'd like to know what you guys think. Thank you all!

Wheeler and Flash are playing on the #1 lines and #1 PP for their respective teams. It was a tough final choice for me between Desharnais and Pavelski but I like Pavs here just based on his consistent play. Desharnais could be a better player in a few years, but for now, I like Pavs more. It was hard to not keep Carlson, but in a league like this, I have a feeling there will be plenty of solid D options left open for you to take advantage of.

Kipper and Wheeler for sure...
I think I would go Pavelski and Desharnais with the last two. Loved Fleishmann this year but does Huberdeau break up the big line next year? I think Carlson will be available to be drafted due to question marks with the Caps.

Kipper, Desharnias, Wheeler, Flash.
I'm not big on Carlsson they have to many offensive defensemen that I think is going to limit his PP time. Desharnias has been fantastic and I see no reason why he won't continue to be. Kipper will get you tons of starts so he will get you enough wins even playing for the flames. Wheeler I don't know if he is really as good as he has been playing but its worth finding out. Flash has been been getting better every year and is good enough to be kept.

Nice input guys, rep sent your way.
Kipper could be available when I pick at 7th position at the draft... From what I can see, only one other GM before me could be interested as the others pretty much have their goalie situation settled. Carlson: I want to see what will happen with Wideman and Green... But I think he'll be gone by the 2nd round. Other potential d-men who should be available: Elliott, Schultz, Bogosian, maybe Goligoski, maybe JJohnson, Timonen, Visnovsky.

If you asked me to bet on who'd do better: DD or Flash? Well, I might pick DD. Flash has potential to put up the bigger number though... and your team needs to take some risk to finish top 3... and Flash is that risk. |

I would keep Kipper and leave the decision in your hands, not everyone else's.
