So I'm in the conference finals and the Isles play the Pens twice this week plus BOS and OTT. Should I go ballsy and start him as normal regardless ? Or bench him vs the PENS?

Excellent question. I am in the same situation in one of my leagues where I am in the finals. My other goalies available are Lehtonen, Gustavsson, and Roloson. Thank goodness for Lehtonen and a strong offense, otherwise I never would have gotten this far! My opponent has Miller and Smith. With only 5 starts between them this week, I am thinking I may take my chances, start all the goalies I can, likely concede GAA and SV%, but try and at least snag wins. Who knows if its a good plan or not, but that is my line of thinking right now based on a lack of better options. That said, I am still sitting Roloson tonight against Philly, so I am not totally committed to that plan yet!

Generally speaking though, I have a feeling that starting any goalie against the Pens right now is likely suicide.

Haha, you just never know what can happen. Lehtonen getting lit in Calgary and Roloson posting a win in Philly, apparently I played the wrong guy tonight.

That said, my confidence in Nabokov this week really hasn't improved.

I know what you mean. The thing is my head to head partner yesterday posted a huge loss with Pavs and sufferred 5 GA. NYI play 4 tough games this week with one back to back. If I fail to start him for the 2 games vs the Pens I realistically will likely only get to start him once vs the Sens or the Bruins. Whereas if I start him tonight I might at least get 3 games total out of him in which if he does get 3-4 goals against he might be able to even it out by week's end. Logical argument or wishful thinking?
