Thumbs up MacKinnon vs Grigorenko ?

Came across this youtube video this AM. Neat watch.

This is a video of Mac vs Grig. in a head-to-head match in October 2011.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT7BljVmThc

Who will have the biggest impact fantasy wise? Strictly from the video, Mac. seems to have a great all-around game (Crosby-esk), whereas, Grig. seems to have a nose for the net and velvety-soft hands, and a nice shot. Grigorenko's skating is lacking somewhat IMO (see .30sec). Just my 2 cents.

Is Grig. sure to go #2 in this years draft? Seems so. Mac looks like a sure #1 in 2013.

Props to the videographer. I don't get a chance to see these guys play so this was good insight.

Bit early to talk about 2013 imo. Remember how highly rated Couturier was one year before he got drafted? A lot can change quickly when it comes to prospects.

As of right now, MacKinnon projects as the better prospect but Grigo definitely is not a slouch. As mentioned above, things can change in a year's time but MacKinnon looks to be a safe choice for a top 3 pick in 2013.

78 points in 58 games in the Q as a 16 year old is not too shabby. Just saying. Gotta be a top 3 for sure.

Looked up Sid's stats in his 1st year in the Q and oops, my Sidney-esk comment may have been premature. Sid had 153 points in 59 games in his first year in the Q. That's crazy.
