Does he make it next year? What is his short and long term upside?
Thanks

His recent performance seems to indicate that he will, at least, have a roster spot next season.

Ya he should skate with the Flames next season. I really thought he'd make the team out of camp this season, so I definitely feel he'll be there next.
I really think he'll surprise and at least be in the conversation for the Calder. He's gonna have a ton of tough competition but I think he'll hold his own. I think he'll end up somewhere around 40 points with the possibility for more depending on the kind of ice time he gets.

It's important to keep expectations in check. Right now he's hot out of the gate but you have to consider rookie walls which hit just about every young player. I think the 40-point projection for next year is fair. It may take a few years to get great numbers out of him.

But you do expect great numbers? That's good. What is his upside? I really hadn't heard that much about him, but am more and more excited that I grabbed him

He is seen as one of the guys with the better ceilings in that draft class. The fact that he's had so much success to date makes him lower risk in the long run too.

The Flames not blowing through his 9 games this season indicates to me that they want him to be on the big club next year. My estimation is that he could range from 25-50 points next year, though I expect 35-45 is pretty likely. It really depends who he plays with, how much he plays, etc.

Feaster has already flat out said that the kid will be on the team next year. As far as projections go i'd say 35-40 is about right but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he was closer to 50-55 and challenging for the calder. He is THAT good. Think Adam henrique for a comparable rookie season... Baertschi has a much higher ceiling though.

Oh yeah, he makes the team. I'd say it's a virtual lock. Have you seen their talent?
![]() Their farm system is brutal.......I'd hate to be a Flames fan nowadays.

Ferland and Reinhart have some pretty decent potential for where they were taken.
