Need to know more about your pool. Why do you want more defence?

I\'d take a flyer on Murphy. A little cheaper in salary at $775K vs Hainsey\'s $900K. Hainsey had a career year with 34 points and Columbus has other options on the PP. Murphy should get some playing time on the 1st PP for Florida. He compares favourably to a Rafalski type player, just don\'t expect 50 pts this year. If it all works out, 35-40 pts seem possible. I don\'t see Hainsey getting more than 30 pts next year.

Agreed... I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen Murphy play myself, but Dobber seems to be pretty high on him as early as next season. Bottom line is that Murphy may be the riskier choice, but Hainsey\'s upside in Columbua is low enough that it shouldn\'t matter, since you\'re not likely to lose anything that can\'t be replaced regardless of what happens.

I\'d say Murphy is the better choice here. I\'ve done a little research into this guy, hoping he\'ll be a dark horse in my pool this year. It seems he\'s much better offensive than defensive. I can see him getting mediocre playing time, but lots of PP time. He apparently missed ten games last year due to a groin injury. Just food for thought.
