I'm afraid I have.

I used to have Green till I was finally able to unload him. Lots of good memories too, as I had him right through the 'glory' days. I've watched a fair amount of the Caps' games since he's returned. Though he has been somewhat better recently, the 0 pts in however many games he's been back says it all. He's a shadow of his former self. He looks 'fat'. He doesn't skate as well. His shot misses the net a lot. The Caps as a team are a mess too, but he just doesn't seem to be even close to his former self.

Best case scenario...he gets dropped and you take a 'flyer' on him or pick him up late in the draft next season.

I wouldn't count on Greener for anything at all this season. He's out of game shape and mentally frustrated.

That said, I also think this is part of the growing process for him. Let's see if he matures through it. In most keeper leagues I would at least shop for him, see if you can get him very cheap. I do think theres the chance he grows through this experience and becomes a servicable fantasy Dman again. Don't pay much, but he's a great speculative option to look at during or before the offseason.

I don't see him ever returning to his glory days but this being more of a Phaneuf story with him. Personally I think that whole Cap's team needs to be blown up this off season.

I got him for Shattenkirk one month ago, in a limit keeper. We all know what happened after that...

I'm in playoff right now, and will be ejected Sunday because of Green, and Crosby not returning yet. So, I will prepare for 2012-13 season !!!

Green was absolutely ABUSED by the Blackhawks tonight. I don't know what the Caps are going to do moving forward but I don't see how Green could be part of their plans if they want to ice a legit contender. He makes way too much money for what he provides anymore, between the ongoing injuries and horrific play in his own zone. Forget about "Rock the Red" - the Caps need to "Rock the Core" and Green and Semin should be the first ones to get rocked out of DC.

I agree that Caps need to move Green/Semin. Interesting what they do in the offseason. Green being an RFA. How will they justify re-signing him for $5.25+..seems like forever when he scored 76,73 pts..
