I want to watch season 1 before 2 starts which I believe is later this month? (i didn't read any parts of this thread to avoid spoilers). However, I need to finish seasons 3 and 4 of Mad Men to be ready for season 5 which also begins later this month. Hopefully during Spring break, I'll be able to bang out those seasons and catch up on GoT before season 2 begins.

I got a lotta viewing to do.

Not necessarily. Everyone knew at that point he was completely insane and Rhaegar spoke to the Kings-guard before he left to battle Robert, about making big changes. Jamie dwells on it multiple times. Everybody wanted Rhaegar as King, I think the mad-king was gonna be removed regardless.
The winner of that duel in the trident was gonna be King, and by all accounts the 1 who fell would have made a better King.

Anyways, no point dwelling on the past.

99.9% sure they are moving Jaime's stuff with Brienne from book 3 up to season 2. They have to or else he would literally be in a cage all season long. Even the scene where Cat goes to see him in the cell is at the end of book 2, yet we saw it in season 1, so they're definitely setting up for this.

Not so sure about the hockeyrobot. There are rumors of book 3 being made into 2 seasons so I don't think they'd speed up the story there.

I got the Blu-ray's last night and man it's a gorgeous set. They put some serious time and effort into it and I think the sales alone are going to keep financing this series for awhile. They're doing really well with it.

I was talking to the wife about the Rhaegar/Jon thing as if Jon might be his spawn or something. And we were watching the first 2 episodes and there are moments that now make me think this may be the case. They allude to Rhaegar having raped Ned's sister. Can't remember her name off the top of my head at the moment, but I wonder if she actually prefered Rhaegar to Robert. We'll see how this plays out in the next book.
