Thats a peach; it's like 20cents at the store, must have been a very tight budget this episode.

Still love the show but that Baratheon parlay scene was the most underwhelming of any "straight out of the books scenes" they've done.
I guess I still enjoyed the scene, all 45seconds of it, with no lead up whatsoever, but it was a big disappointment for 1 of my favorite chapters in the whole series.

Something's up with the Bolton's in this show. They have to be making some major changes because Ramsay wasn't even cast and he plays a major role in Bran/Theon's story in book 2. I kind of feel like Bran's story this season will end with Theon's big lie.....even though Ramsay/Reek did help him out with that lie I can see them altering that part for the show. This way, the sacking of Winterfell by Ramsay can happen early season 3.

But if you're gonna steal a scene straight from the books, at least do it some justice.


I imagine the Tywin/Roose swap is so when they did introduce Roose, he was with Robb, making it clear who he is. Remember, Roose takes the castle from Tywins men later, so we still might see that interaction as well. Also, any extra Tywin is a good thing.

I think the lack of Charles Dance was reason enough for D&D to bring him in. That, and concealing the Bolton's treachery for later when the sacking of Winterfell occurs.

Just makes sense. Only so much running time. Good to add some suspense later in the season.

I kind of missed the peach as well, but we get the gist of Renly from the screen-time he's gotten and everything. I still would have loved the peach, and I think it would have made for better TV, but one of my friends (who has read the series) felt it was done better in the show because it's a bit more direct.

I thought it was ok, myself. Loved the "Is he a ham?" line, too.

A bit different from the books in last night's episode.

Not sure if the Reed's will be pushed to next season, but Bran's dream was Jojen's in the book. The Tickler dying now vs in Season 3 at the hands of Arya.

I loved the "behind the scenes" scene of Margaery and Littlefinger. Knowing what is coming for her I think it's a good move. I also like how Tywin is being humanized and how they're showing how smart he really is.

Pyat Pree and Xaro are awesome......Quaithe......wtf

Are there anymore characters yet to be introduced? It seems like every episode has had 2-3 new people.

Last night's episode was pretty good, but maybe it's just because I miss things when I don't watch things with subtitles, but yeah, there were some scenes that left me wanting more and I'm still bugged by the Asha casting. I keep wondering about the Reeds as well. I thought they should have shown up already.
