Kaberle started out red hot with the Habs but I think he's got something like 4 points in his last 14 games so it's not much of an issue dropping him at all considering his multi-cat production is garbagio to begin with.

Plus McBain seems to be heating up a bit. Could still have a strong finish to the season.
Thanks for the positive encouragement, I guess I needed another nudge.

Putting in the claim right now, but if anyone has any other thoughts I'd welcome the opinions. Thanks.

Also B0ndon, with my current Farm Roster do you think it would be a good/bad move to ship off Scheifele OR Zibanejad for David Rundblad?

Or do you think it would be more prudent to just wait for the upcoming prospect draft and capitalize on the glut of D-men with "potential?"

I'm likely only going to roster 2 (max) Dmen on the Farm roster out of 8 slots. Probably going to be something like 5F-2D-1G.

EDIT:

Also, do you think Jason Garrison is worth hanging onto over any of my current D-men (McBain included)? I have to drop him to process this transaction, as he's on IR currently - but clearly not injured.

You're safe dropping Souray or Kaberle... they are both horrible and the chances of them having bounce-back seasons are slim to nil (although I like Kaberle ever so slightly more than Souray).

Hang onto Garrison, he may have some upside (or not), but it's too early to write him off.

Well, my team doesn't REALLY need goals as much as other stat contributions. Thus, it's probably better for me to keep Souray instead of Garrison - I won't be keeping either through next season.

I also have too may D-men on my roster right now, so I have to drop somebody. I figured dropping Garrison and Kaberle to grab McBain would be fine. I have been shopping Garrison with literally no interest for a couple weeks now, and even in the past couple days after two good games. There "could" be more there, but I don't really see him getting much better - he's like 29 already I think.

Interesting that so many people have written off Kaberle.

22 pts last 36 games = .611 PPG

50 pt pace over 82 games.

Crappy start in Carolina but seems to have quietly turned it around.

Yeah that's true, but in all fairness he has been GARBAGE for the past month+ and I really need some solid production down the stretch. I'm clearly grasping at straws as it is... Kaberle really only provides Assists (some PPP) but aside from that it's pretty dicey.
