I thought that my lineup was by far superior in this 14 team dynasty league, but the guy holding Erik Karlsson+++ just wont go away. He now has a slight lead with his 3698 points vs my 3663.
Do I have to sell some underperformers before the deadline to secure the win? Should I just stay put and this will be ok? Our league has a tweaked scoring system with -1 point per minor, almost 100% more points per goal vs assists and D's score better than forwards. It is all in my signature. I'm gonna list my current squad along with their fantasy points total so far, and then my opponents team. MY TEAM: 4 Centers: Datsyuk (IR) - 237 Bozak - 141 (brought in to replace Datsyuk) Desharnais - 166 Seguin - 208 Little - 135 (picked up last week) 8 Wingers: Eberle - 238 (just traded Neal for him straight up) P Kane - 179 Ovechkin - 183 Parise - 202 Marleau - 199 Perron - 111 Ryder - 187 Semin - 131 (aquired in trade in december) 5 Defenders Letang - 189 Visnovsky - 132 Yandle - 184 Subban - 127 Salo - 136 2 Goalies Price - 281 Elliott - 212 (brought in to replace Ward) Ward (IR) - 264 HIS TEAM: Henrique - 189 R O'Reilly - 167 Stastny - 130 Stepan - 174 Callahan - 199 Dupuis - 134 Giroux - 261 Hornqvist - 120 Kunitz - 165 Prospal - 119 (he picked him up 4 days ago) Ryan - 161 Sharp - 226 Edler - 244 Karlsson - 331 Wideman - 235 Wisniewski - 104 Quincey - 124 Hiller - 260 Smith - 303 It is of course Karlsson, Giroux, Sharp, Edler, Wideman thing combined with Mike Smith in goal that has made him competitive. So, should I panic and get rid of players like Subban to secure a win this year? I'll hand out rep as far as it goes.

Wow looks like there is alot of weight on D-man scoring. Wisniewski is probably also a big boost for him since he has been scoring quite well since coming back.
I don't think you should panic, as the Caps recent slump is probably another factor to why he has caught up. I think Marleau was a known 2nd half slumper, so maybe see if you can move him for a 2nd half stud.

Never really heard that about Marleau before. He had a good 2nd half last year right?
I am hoping that a few of his players should produce less going forward. Surely the return of Duchene will impact the ice time and production from stastny and oreilly. Green is back for the caps which should lower widemans production. Quincey as been traded to he red wings, so no more power play for him. Wiz is currently injured again.

ie. He got Giroux? Go after Hartnell for ? Perron Go after guys like Spezza and Kovy who are having rebound years for the likes of Semin, Marleau. Sacrifice Subban + and go big for Weber. He is quietly putting up points in Nashville. In short, i dont think you need to blow up your core but just tweek it with a couple moves and you take top spot for good. G'luck!

Thanks guys! Rep added.
Wingers are worth alot more than centers in our league, so not sure I want to buy "high" on Spezza. Semin has been on fire since I aquired him, so I will probably try to sell him for an elite defender instead. Would it be too much to offer Semin/Marleau+Subban for someone like Weber?
